On chartering from Ibiza
Ibiza is unusual among the Balearic and Mediterranean islands in that runway length was never the constraint. At 2,800 metres, IBZ takes anything we operate, from a Phenom 300 up to a Global 7500 or G650ER, non-stop and without performance limitation. What actually governs an Ibiza charter is slot availability: from June through September, Friday-to-Sunday demand routinely exceeds what the airport can process, and AENA's peak-week slot coordination becomes the real gatekeeper rather than aircraft capability.
Airport selection is simple on paper, IBZ direct for almost every mission, but the practical decision that matters is timing. Early or midweek arrivals avoid the worst of the Friday-Sunday crush; a Saturday arrival in early August without a confirmed slot risks a Palma de Mallorca diversion purely on parking grounds, a 25-minute hop away but an unwelcome surprise if a client is expecting to land directly at IBZ. We flag this risk at the quoting stage for any peak-weekend booking.
Pricing on the Ibiza network tracks the club calendar closely. Opening parties in early June set the tone for the summer, and demand climbs steadily into an August peak before easing through the closing parties in late September. A light jet from Nice that runs 9,500 EUR in shoulder season can sit near the top of its range on an August Friday, purely because every suitable aircraft on the Western Mediterranean is already committed. The late-night departure schedule that defines Ibiza's club culture also matters commercially: quotas on jets above 34 tonnes for 04:00-06:00 departures mean the smaller end of the fleet often has an edge on availability for that specific slot.
Seasonality is sharp but not as binary as some Mediterranean islands: IBZ stays open and busy across a longer window than a place like Mykonos, roughly May through October carries meaningful traffic, with the true peak concentrated in July and August. Winter is genuinely quiet, with several club-season ground handling arrangements winding down outside the main season. For flexible travellers, late May and early October combine reliable weather with markedly easier slot access and softer pricing.
