FAQ

Common questions about the Heavy Jet

How many passengers can a heavy jet carry?
Ten to fourteen adults in a comfortable club-four plus divan configuration. Sixteen is possible in higher-density layouts but rarely comfortable for long sectors.
Can a heavy jet fly non-stop from London to Los Angeles?
Marginal. The G550, Global 6000, and Falcon 7X can just about make the 8,800 km distance non-stop in favourable winds, but a technical stop in Iceland, Ireland, or Newfoundland is common on westbound legs.
What is the difference between a heavy jet and an ultra-long-range jet?
Ultra-long-range jets (G650ER, Global 7500) have 15 to 20 percent more range, larger cabins, and standing showers on select tails. Heavy jets are the previous-generation flagship: 90 percent of the capability at 60 percent of the hourly cost.
How much does it cost to charter a heavy jet?
Hourly rates run 10,500 to 13,500 EUR depending on tail age. A one-way London to New York quote typically lands between 75,000 and 105,000 EUR including positioning and fuel-stop contingency.
